The AI Second Brain

I messed up. 3 things you can learn.

"We haven't made sufficient progress with AI. We have to take a different direction".

This is what I read this morning in the email.

Title:" Cancel contract".

It hurts.

Because the CEO is right.

Here's what happened, please don't make my mistake:

We have been working together for 5 months, company of around 20 employees.

I was in charge of AI education, implementation and automation.

Went very well in the first 3 months: AI productivity workshops, 1 to 1 support calls, figuring out automation use cases.

BUT I made a mistake...in the last 2 months I have been traveling around the world for... conferences. As an AI expert speaker.

I didn't realize how much focus, time and energy I would lose.

And our progress slowed down.

What hurts the most is that honestly... He's not wrong. And it's too late. The management made the decision.

I lost them because of my lack of focus.

Here's what I would do differently:

- Send them weekly 2-3 updates.

- Document progress better.

- Set in place SYSTEMS.

- ASK what is NOT going well. (I was only told when it was too late)

- ONLY go to qualified conferences where there is a fit.

Not gonna lie, those conferences made me FEEL smart but I was not serving the people that were putting bread on my table.

Now it's clear. In my loss. But I know I'm better than this.

Having said that, April will be a winning month.

I will onboard 3 new clients.

Building AI automations for sales, project management, content creation.

I have learned my lesson.

Time to lock in.
