SPECIAL ISSUE today, came back from 1 week of work in USA:

5 things I learned from teaching practical AI at Cornell Tech that will make you smarter:

1. People will burn out because of AI.

(context: had a 2h workshop on how to win back 2h/day with practical AI, with 70+ smart business leaders)

When I asked "what would you do with 2 extra hours per day" I was SHOCKED...

70+ business leaders. 1 Golden tie.

The majority said they would WORK MORE!

NOT spend time with family, not rest, not hobbies...

And the hard truth is that I relate with these people. I did the same. And it's a painful choice.

Because the freedom promise of AI cannot be fulfilled if we create our own work prisons.

It's us, not the AI that decide at the end of the day.

2. It is SO FUN and engaging when you talk to the RIGHT people.

People who are genuinely curious.

These people paid top dollars to be here and their attitude and desire to put AI to work for them was amazing.

Compared to banging your head against the wall of AI naysayers, the close-minded and the lazy.

When I go to Italy, my home country, people say that I'm some sort of crazyman with that "ChatGBD" thing...

Meanwhile here I had the PLEASURE of talking for 2 hours with leaders, winners, learners.

And I can see why these people excel.

3. Don't talk to machines.

The truth is people like humans, not AI.

When I mentioned how I broke up with my girlfriend because of ChatGPT people immediately reacted and asked me to tell the story.

It was a joke but a valuable lesson too:

Remember if you're an AI consultant or educator that you build for humans, not machines.

4. Do your homework.

No, I'm not a natural talent at public speaking or AI genius. I just spent dozens of hours on that presentation, getting it from 71 slides to 33.

Because people don't need more info and generic AI fluff. They need what really works.

So spare the fluff and theory and simplify what works for them. This will 4x your consulting business revenue, trust me.

5. Have fun?

I can't share with you the full details BUT you know you're doing a good job when you make the crowd smile, when you can be vulnerable and when people come to shake your hand and thank you.

Heck, I showed up with a GOLDEN TIE and Italian mafia outfit on the stage:

I just love what I do, I'm grateful for this epic New York experience together with ImagineAILive and I hope you won't miss the next one.

It's something special and unique.

AI for humans!
